Taylor Farm

taylor_farm_cheeseTaylor Farm is a 180 year old working dairy farm nestled in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Their family has operated the farm for over 20 years. Taylor Farm’s herd consists of 50 miles of Holstein and Jersey Cows, each individually named and lovingly cared for in a free stall barn, as well as goats, pigs, fowl, and our Belgian horses.

Originally, Taylor Farm was strictly a dairy operation. Over the years, they have added a cheese making facility, lodging, a farmstead, sleigh rides, and educational activities. In 2001 the farm was put into conservation through the Vermont Land Trust, the generosity of the Freeman Foundation, and many of their neighbors. They purchased a portion of the farm and continue to practice sustainable agriculture on the entire property. With the loyal support of their community and the agriculture industry of Vermont, they are able to keep family farms a vital part of the Vermont landscape.
