Mamadoro was born from a deep passion to revive the authentic, nostalgic flavor of the Italian-American Sunday sauce I grew up with—rooted in the kitchens of my family in New York City and Long Island.
Every Sunday, the women in my family would gather around the stove, spending hours perfecting a sauce that brought everyone together. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an event filled with laughter, love, and tradition.
I was lucky to have two Italian aunts, Rose and Maria, each with her own take on a classic pomodoro sauce. Their versions differed in flavor but shared one essential ingredient: the finest imported San Marzano–style tomatoes from Italy. Both sauces were rich, vibrant, and unforgettable.
The name Mamadoro is close to my heart. I created it to mean “the mother of sauce,” honoring the women who made every Sunday special. Just as they passed down their recipes and stories, Mamadoro carries on that legacy—infusing every jar with the warmth, flavor, and love of family.
Today, I’m proud to share that same old-world New York Sunday sauce experience with you. Mamadoro captures the spirit of those timeless meals when Frank Sinatra played in the background and every bite felt like home. More than just a sauce, Mamadoro is a celebration of family, friendship, and the memories made around the table.
